EAGLES’ WINGS COVID-19 HEALTH AND SAFETY PRINCIPLES

The Eagles’ Wings Board of Directors is committed to the health and safety of our students, family members, volunteers, and staff members. Everyone involved in Eagles’ Wing’s programs must follow these principles. These principles differ for fully vaccinated and unvaccinated people. Proof of vaccination will not be required – all will be on the honor system.

CDC Guiding Principles for Fully Vaccinated People:

• Indoor and outdoor activities pose minimal risk to fully vaccinated people.
• Masks are not required.
• Social distancing is not required.
• Wash your hands often with soap and water or use a hand sanitizer.
• Have a reduced risk of transmitting SARS-CoV-2 to unvaccinated people.
• Should still get tested if experiencing COVID-19 symptoms.
• Should not visit private or public settings if they have tested positive for COVID-19 in the prior 10 days or are experiencing COVID19 symptoms.

CDC Guiding Principles for Unvaccinated People:

• Wear a mask that covers your nose and mouth to help protect yourself and others.
• As much as possible, stay 6 feet apart from others who do not live with you.
• Get a COVID-19 vaccine when it is available to you.
• Wash your hands often with soap and water or use a hand sanitizer.
• Should get tested if experiencing COVID-19 symptoms.
• Should not visit private or public settings if they have tested positive for COVID-19 in the prior 10 days or are experiencing COVID19 symptoms.

BENEFIT DINNER AND FUNDRAISER SCHEDULED FOR 2022

Because of COVID-19 concerns, we made the decision to postpone our 2019 Benefit Dinner and Fundraiser until 2022. Now with the number of COVID-19 cases falling, we hope to schedule our major fundraiser sometime in early 2022. The dinner and auction typically brings in 25 percent or more of our income to support our programs that change the lives of special needs riders and their families. We ask that keep us in your prayers and that you do your part in curtailing this pandemic.

To give you an idea of the amount of work it takes to stage this event, this video of the 2016 Benefit Dinner and Fundraiser documents the event from start to finish. As you will see, we will need all the help we can get.
