OUR STAFF

As required by the Certified Horsemanship Association, we have three part-time certified/registered instructors who are responsible for providing therapeutic riding instruction for people with special needs. These talented and caring individuals create and implement lesson plans that are organized to address each student's goals as stated by their parents, physicians, and therapists.

Gail Duer - Registered Instructor
Gail learned of Eagles' Wings while at a neurologist appointment with her daughter and grandson who was severely handicapped.  She is a horse lover from childhood with some experience but had to get “back in the saddle” after 35 years.  So, combining all of these interests and achievements, Eagles Wings was a perfect outlet and therapy for her.  She began in 2007 as a horse leader and was certified as an instructor in 2011 through Fieldstone Farms Therapeutic Riding Stables. She thoroughly enjoys her students and has been amazed at the “miracles” she has witnessed.

Rebekah Hastings - Head Certified Instructor
Rebekah started as an Instructor in Training at Eagles' Wings Stable in 2009. Prior to her involvement with Eagle’s Wings, Rebekah received an Associate’s Degree in Equine Studies from Ohio University Southern. During her studies she focused on therapeutic riding and trained at the University’s therapeutic riding center. Rebekah became a certified instructor shortly after starting at Eagle’s Wings. Rebekah contributes ten plus years of horse experience working in a variety of equine settings including therapeutic riding, traditional horseback riding, and daily equine care.
